City Projects

Bike & Hike Plan

The City, County and Regional Transportation Authority have joined forces to create an extensive plan to provide access to cycling, walking and hiking trails around Corpus to get people outdoors and moving and to promote a greener environment.

Adopt-a-Park Program

This is a great and green way for businesses, groups and volunteers to demonstrate their commitment to the community.

"Green and Clean" Recognition Program

The Mayor's office recognizes two winners monthly who distinguish themselves through their landscaping, property maintenance and investment in its employees.

Rewards for Recycling

Ziplock and www.Recyclebank.com have teamed up with the City of Corpus Christi to offer a program that uses Smart Carts to track household recycling participation. Each time a household recycles; the amount is recorded and converted into Recyclebank Points, which can be redeemed here for rewards from thousands of local businesses.

Community Go Green initiatives

The City provides residents with two trash receptacles - one for generalized garbage such as food waste and one reserved for recyclable items.

Coastal Bend Green Built (CBGB)

This is a program from the Builders Association Corpus Christi Area. It is a voluntary partnership of local home builders, industry supporters and sponsors committed to creating awareness and interest in the construction of high-performance, low-impact residential homes in the Coastal Bend.
